  • The certificate requires one 3-credit-hour elective course from a program outside Learning, Design, and Technology that emphasizes its practices.
  • Most elective are accepted. Many student prefer to take courses related to their major. As long as you can explain how your elective course connect with the other LDT courses you took and how it relates to Learning, Design, or Technology, then the class will work!

Client-side and server-side techniques for use on the World Wide Web. Interactive, dynamically-generated, and database-enabled web pages are discussed. Course content changes frequently to incorporate new Internet technologies.

Study of Language
The scientific study of language, emphasizing such topics as the organization of grammar, language in space and time, and the relationship between the study of language and other disciplines.

EPSY 2130
Exploring Learning and Teaching
Exploration of key aspects of learning and teaching through examining your own learning processes and those of others, with the goal of applying your knowledge to enhance the learning of all students in a variety of educational settings and contexts. Course contains experiential learning experience.

Study of Secondary Social Studies Curricula
Current status of and trends in the social science curriculum in secondary schools, with illustrations of selected curriculum models for both cognitive and affective learning.
ESOC 6360
Methods of Teaching Secondary Social Studies
Instructional objectives and the examination and application of instructional procedures, utilization of media, and methods of evaluation.
CMSD 5000
Professional and Clinical Principles for CMSD
Analysis, synthesis, and integration of controlling regulations, professional standards, and basic principles of clinical practice for audiology, speech-language pathology, and related professions.
BUSN 4900
Communicating for Business Effectiveness
Focuses on the practice of communication for students’ success in their academic and professional careers. Specific communication skills will be practiced within the following contexts: public speaking/presentations, managing conflict, and business writing.
MIST 2090
Introduction to Information Systems in Business
Concepts related to leading information technology-enabled change in business, including fundamentals of information systems, business process improvement, business and data modeling, project management, and intensive spreadsheet utilization.
